Since its inception, the South Florida Contra Dance Society has been committed to keeping our dances affordable and welcoming for the entire South Florida community. However, we are not immune from the facts of life, and one of those facts of life is that the cost of operating our monthly dance has gone up.

In order to maintain (and hopefully grow!) the quality of our dances and to be able to pay our bands and callers fairly for their amazing work, the Board has approved the following change to our price structure:

General Adult Admission: $15

Dancers Ages 13-18, College/University Students, and As Needed: $5

Dancers 12 and Under: FREE

We know no one likes it when prices go up, but we are optimistic that you, our beloved dancers, will soon be getting more bang for your increased bucks. And for those of you with young people in your lives who might have previously hesitated to bring them, we hope this will encourage you to start convincing them that contra dance is cool!

If you are not in the habit of carrying around a bunch of fives and tens anymore, you are always welcome to pay for your dance in advance through our EventBrite links. And if you are feeling generous, SFLCDS accepts donations year-round, 100% of which go towards making our dances better.
